The short answer

An asbestos and lead survey identifies and samples suspect building materials before renovation, demolition or repair — so the work can be planned safely and legally. We perform the assessment; we do not perform abatement.

FAQs

Asbestos & Lead — common questions

Is an asbestos survey required before renovation in Florida?

For most renovations and all demolitions, yes. Florida and federal NESHAP regulations require an asbestos survey before disturbing suspect materials in any pre-1981 building. Your contractor or permitting authority can confirm scope.

How much does an asbestos and lead survey cost?

Most residential pre-renovation surveys in Florida fall between $450 and $1,200 depending on the number of suspect materials sampled. Lab analysis is included in the quoted price.

Do you remove the asbestos or lead paint?

No. We assess and document; licensed abatement contractors remove. That separation keeps our findings independent.

How long does the survey take?

Field work is typically a half-day for a residential property. Lab turnaround adds 3 to 5 business days.
